I can't believe I got attached to the geometrical figures LMAO

OKay jokes aside, I really adore this game, this is actually my first time trying multiple routes to get the true ending (the short length of the game really does help, i think). The characters are quirky and distinct from one another, the artstyle and music mesh well together, and the connection between the "tutorial" and the story/plot is established nicely.

I hope this game will get more recognition! This is one good debut game :O Really look forward to your future projects!!

Darn it, those geometrical figures making me FEEL things *shakes fist* (LOL)

Can't lie, I was a bit surprised with the end result myself. Specially taking into account I joined the jam on a whim (and one week late LOL), so there was no element of pre-planning whatsoever.

I'm actually considering joining a new game jam soon, so hopefully the next game won't disappoint!

Thanks for the love! Much appreciated :)

I am in love with the aesthetic /music/ style of this game. It all goes together so perfectly!

Thank you so much! My inspiration for the game was (as weird as it sounds) a mix of:

  • A scene in "Good Bye, Lenin!" (the one where they talk about "cosmonauts"),
  • the aesthetics of PC-98 games,
  • personal experience LOL (the plot twist that I won't mention because of spoilers haha)
  • and this little game: You and I and the Long, Long Drive.

Can't take credit for the music, as it's not mine (you can listen to the album where it came from here). But I'm just so grateful for all of those creators that release their stuff under CC. I was so happy when I found 505's music, as it fit exactly what I had in my mind  when I was working on the game.

I love a good original concept. Especially one as surreal and philosophical as this. It's so nice to see something so different amid all the classic anime-style VNs (not that I don't have a soft spot in my heart for those, too!). I haven't played all of this yet, but the beginning seemed very promising. :)

(PS: I featured this entry on my NaNoRenO 2021 Spotlight, if you'd like to check it out!)

Hey Kim, thank you so much for your kind words! I hope that you found the game interesting after playing it (if you got around to it).

And thanks for talking about it on your blog!

The BEST short visual novel I 've ever played. Seriously. Give It a chance 100/100!!!

Aw, thank you!

Cute! I think there’s a glitch in the city section though: I rolled back like the game said, but I just kept getting the same dialogue. Help?

(1 edit)

Hey Naomi Norbez! When the game tells you to roll back, it's only meant for demonstration purposes. In a "Hey, did you know you can go a few sentences back to re-read that bit in case you didn't understand?" kind of way. I assumed some people with no experience of Ren'Py mechanics would play the game, so that was my in-character way to teach them.

So in summary, rolling back won't get you new dialogue. Sorry for the misunderstanding!

Oh, I see!  Either way, I couldn't play the game past that point.

That's very strange! I had 11 people playtest the game and no one had an issue like that. However, just in case I just downloaded the game onto a new machine (using the links here) and played through the City scene, and I had no issues at all.

Would you mind PMing me the error message you got at my twitter (@hrhinternetcafe)?

Ok, I replayed the game and I was able to get past that point. >m< I'm not sure why I had an issue before. . . Anyway, we're all good here!

Awesome, thanks for letting me know! :)
